Marlene Yamada

Marlene Sanaye Yamada has been a Realtor since 1988. She brings an interesting combination of technical, practical, customer service, project management, and artistic skills together to share unique perspectives with her clients, and to help them accomplish their goals. When working with buyers, Marlene often helps them to look beyond the cosmetic distractions to envision the beautiful and practical possibilities of properties. When working with sellers, Marlene helps them to prioritize tasks that will help their property shine the brightest within a practical timeframe and budget. She has managed renovation projects for clients who moved out of the area before their homes were ready to list for sale. She adds an artistic flair when staging the properties for showing. Marlene was raised in her father's sport-fishing business and developed excellent customer service skills while working as a crew member and licensed second skipper during summers throughout high school and college. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Marlene has a software development, project management, and integration technology consulting background. She got a real estate license due to her keen interest in and passion for real estate. Marlene has managed multiple home remodeling projects and was an integral part of designing and building two of her own family's homes. Meanwhile, Marlene, who signs her artwork with her middle name, is also an accomplished abstract painter. Her paintings are often included in the staging of her sellers' properties.
